The Immediate Effect of Programmed Stretching on Lower Limb Agility

Abstract

|
This study was performed to measure the immediate effects of stretching exercise on lower limb agility. Target population was department of physical therapy student. They are comprised of 30 members and splitted in to 3groups. Group 1 was instructed to perform programmed stretching(effects of regular stretching upon the development of physique and physical fitness: Focus on Middle school students-Choi Ingi) before exerclse. Group 11 was asked to perform stretching before exercise on their own. without any specification or instruction. Group 111 didn1t perform stretching exercise. The results was following: (1) The performance of Group(with programmed stretching) outpaced others and was stastically significant(vertical jump and standing board jump). (2) We also found statistical significance with meter shuttle run. no significance was found with vertical jump and standing board jump.
