Objectives: The purpose of this study was to demonstrate our experience that performed surgery using 2 mm laparoscope
in the gynecologic fields.
Methods: We analyzed the medical record for 6 cases of minilaparoscopic surgery that was performed by one surgeon
between April 2009 and May 2011. Two patients had one cesarean delivery respectively. Four patients had
no previous surgery. Indications of operation were chronic pelvic pain (1 patient), ectopic pregnancy (2 patients),
adnexal torsion (2 patients) and uterine myoma (1 patient).
Results: During operation, none of the patients required conversion to a laparotomy. One patient was discharged
at 2 days after surgery; 4 patients were discharged at 3 days; 1 patient wasdischarged at 4 days. None of the patients
had wound infection or disruption.
Conclusion: Laparoscopic surgery using 2 mm laparoscope has an advantage requiring only unnoticed small incision
in selected cases, and is feasible despite of its small visual field.
