Study on ways to stimulate foreign patient attraction using correspondence analysis: Focusing on the 2022 foreign patient attraction performance statistical analysis report

Abstract
This study aims to study ways to revitalize the attraction of foreign patients by using the correspondence analysis technique, focusing on the ¡¸2022 Statistical Analysis Report on Foreign Patient Attraction Performance¡¹.This study sought to determine the distribution of foreign patients by region, department, and major disease based on the country. Analysis was performed using IBM PASW 26.0 statistical analysis program.
As a result of the analysis, first, regarding the patient status by region, the overall number of foreign patients was high in that order: Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Dae-gu, and other regions.
Second, in terms of patient status by department, the majority of foreign patients were in that order: other departments, integrated internal medicine, plastic surgery, dermatology, and examination center.
Third, the patient status by major disease is foreign patients in the following order: vascular system (K00-K93), musculoskeletal system (M00-M99), genitourinary system (N00-N99), neoplasm (C00-D48), and endocrine metabolism (E00-E90).
In the conclusion, a summary of the research results, implications, limitations, and future research results are described. Based on the research results, we would like to revitalize the medical tourism industry after COVID-19 and suggest policy directions. In addition, based on the research results derived, it is expected that a wide range of information and direction can be presented to the overseas patient attraction industry.
