Abstract

Children and adolescents are vulnerable to receive traumatic dental injuries, as they are highly active and have a high frequency of sports activities. Crown fracture is the common type of traumatic dental injuries in mixed or permanent dentition. Dental treatment of crown fractures can differ in the location of fractures. Especially, a traumatized tooth with subgingival fracture usually involves destruction of biologic width, resulting in inflammation and damage of periodontal tissues. It can exacerbate the prognosis of dental management. In this case report, we describe a comprehensive approach of subgingivally fractured tooth.
