The Effect of Safety and Health Culture on the Certification of Occupational Health and Safety Management System

Abstract

|
|
Purpose : This study was conducted to contribute to the correct settlement of OSHMS certification by analyzing how the safety and health culture of electronic industry is affecting OSHMS certification.
Methods : This study surveyed 714 electronics industry company sites nationwide.
Results : It turns out that the possibility of certification of the safety and health management system is high in the following cases. In the case of having qualifications related to the relevant field, and then the total number of workers is 20 or more, and When it comes to the safety and health culture, it's every single point up from five.
Conclusion : Ability to specialize in safety and health is required. It suggests that the company should come up with measures to promote the need and effectiveness of OSHMS certification for company sites with less than 20 employees, and to raise the attention of CEO that showed the most significant differences in sub-regional items of safety and health culture in order to improve the safety and health culture.
