Effects of Self Rated Health on Depression by Office Workers and Service Workers -In the early stage of COVID-19-

Abstract

|
Purpose : The purpose of the study is to find the effects of self rated health on depression of office workers and service workers.
Methods : The data were collected from 557 office workers and 751 service workers by using eighth Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey conducted from January to December 2020. For data analysis, frequency, descriptive analysis, chi-square test, and logistic regression were performed.
Results : The factors related to depression of office workers were age, generation, income and type of work while those of the service workers were sex, diabetes and dyslipidemia. Both office and service workers¡¯ self rated health effect on depression.
Conclusion : Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to provide a mental health care program to office and service workers who are at a high risk of depression.
