Abstract
Drug-induced sleep endoscopy(DISE) is a useful procedure for viewing multiple levels of the airway in patients with obstructive sleep apnea(OSA). Although it is not a gold standard for diagnosis of OSA, it can provide additional information for selection of specific surgery. However, most of DISE is performed not by dentist including oral and maxillofacial surgeons, but by otolaryngologist. Authors performed DISE in operating room to all OSA patients, prior to elective surgeries. Therefore, the aims of this article are to introduce DISE to dentist and to review the literature on DISE.
